The FPHMR18A3D outdoor dual zone condenser features Friedrich's Precision Inverter Technology, offering a variable speed compressor to keep up with your comfort control needs while still being energy efficient. A standard air conditioner turn off when the set temperature is achieved. An inverter system uses variable capacity to reach and maintain the set comfort level in your space.
As the US moves away from R410A refrigerant, manufacturers are using alternative replacement refrigerants. R454B is the replacement refrigerant being used in Friedrich's line of Floating Air Pro Series mini split systems. R454B features a Global Warming Potential (GWP) of 467. The larger the GWP, the more that specific gas warms the Earth. Below is a comparison chart of GWPs now being used by manufacturers versus R410A which is being phased out.
